Creating multiple plate presentations to convey a large banquet atmosphere while shooting within the confines of a studio is a time consuming process. This is exactly what we did on this 5-day shoot for a restaurant looking to sell its catering side. During the pre-production process, we suggested a style and feel we thought the client was going for and they agreed. We coordinated with the party planning shop for tables and linens, florists to provide center-pieces, and a food stylist to accomplish this look. The owner and art director were present for each day of shooting, approving images as we created them. After we shot the large table settings, each plate was taken to a simple tabletop on a white background. We were able to give the client simple plate presentations along with the complex, multi-plate options in one shoot.
