Whenever winter comes to an end, as we hope it does soon, our team here at Studio13 always looks forward to the architecture season. Most people call it spring. We get to travel across Indiana and the Midwest and be outdoors capturing the beauty of our clients’ buildings. Our Journal this week features one of our architecture and design connections, but for a more winter-friendly format.
Our Spotlight client for this week is Four Point Design, an interior design firm who fits the experience of a big firm with the attention to detail of a small company. Four Point has designed for quite a few hospitals and other health facilities, as well as schools and a variety organizations. We’ve had the privilege of shooting some of their designs with different clients.
We first connected with the team at Four Point through the networking organization, IndyCREW. IndyCREW is specifically designed to connect women in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. Lesle first met Jamie Raymond, one of the principles at Four Point at an IndyCREW event and she was glad to put us into consideration for their corporate portrait needs. After redesigning their office, the team wanted to use this updated space as a backdrop for some updated portraits. They were looking for new individual headshots as well as group photos which show the collaboration that happens in their offices every day.
We started out with traditional posing but quickly moved on to some creative posing that reflected the creative nature of Four Point’s business. The group came prepared with a variety of options for wardrobe, which allowed us flexibility in posing for the staged images and “in the element” candid shots. The light and bright feel throughout group and individual photos were complimented by pops of color from the team’s clothing and newly installed office furniture.
The photos we took on this shoot are already working hard on Four Point’s website. The firm also has plans for using them in printed material such as proposals and will include them in blogs published on their blogs. We are so thankful for the connections we have grown through the years from our involvement in IndyCREW, like Four Point and many more.
